Facility Explorer F4-CCE Critical Environment BACnet IP Controller

The new Facility Explorer F4-CCE Critical Environment BACnet IP Controller is now available globally. The field controller packages and applications are now available to download from the the Johnson Controls License Portal.

The F4-CCE provides room level control by continuous monitoring of measured parameters. It enables you to meet the required critical environment standards with ANSI, ASHRAE, ASHE, and USP through airborne contaminants mitigation. The F4-CCE also provides airborne infection control and maintains indoor air quality. In addition, the F4-CCE supports energy savings through unoccupied setbacks that reduce air change rates and room temperature when spaces are unoccupied.

Applications:

•    Isolation rooms
•    Clean rooms
•    Emergency rooms
•    Oncology suites
•    Burn units
•    Correctional facilities
•    Compounding pharmacies
•    Indoor agriculture facilities
•    Biocontainment facilities
•    Food research and production labs
•    Pharmaceutical research
•    Crime labs
•    Mortuaries and medical examination centers
•    Corporate labs
•    Oil and gas facilities
•    Teaching labs
•    Research vivariums
•    Chemistry labs
•    General postdoctoral and faculty research labs

Features:
The main features and benefits of the Critical Environment BACnet IP Controller include the following:

•    Programmable with Controller Configuration Tool (CCT) and includes applications (.caf) for Pressure and Volumetric Offset with Pressure Override that reduces engineers’ installation time. These applications are available on the License Portal.

•    Includes an integral real-time clock. The clock enables the controller to monitor and control schedules, calendars, trends, and operate for extended periods of time as a stand-alone controller when offline from the Facility Explorer system network.

•    PID control loops ensure faster analog input updates when compared with standard temperature and humidity loops. The sub-second universal input updates and sub-second PID control periods ensures accurate control of the environment settings.

•    You can expand the input and output interfaces with XPM modules connection.

•    Uses a common hardware design as other Facility Explorer F4 controllers to support standardized wiring practices and installation workflows.

•    Proportional Adaptive Control (P-Adaptive) and Pattern Recognition Adaptive Control (PRAC) delivers continuous control loop tuning that reduces commissioning time, eliminates change of season re-commissioning, and reduces actuator wear and tear.

•    Supports BACnet IP.

•    Pluggable screw terminal blocks.

•    Universal inputs and configurable outputs.

•    Default state for Input/Output wiring validation.

•    Compatibility with CE360 Safety Halo Display.

•    Background transfer coupled with enable and disable logic options in the CCT.

•    SA bus device provisioning enables the controller to transfer and apply firmware files to all the SA bus devices connected to it at the same time, such as XPM, and NS8000.

•    BTL-listed at Protocol Revision 19 as BACnet Advanced Application Controllers (B-AAC).

Note: This release also includes new field controller packages available to download from the License Portal. You can find the package files in the Facility Explorer Field Controller Packages (FX-FCP) starting from version 6.0.0.258.
