Sales Operations Manager
Summary:
The Sales Operations Manager oversees and supports the sales team by developing efficient processes, managing sales data, optimizing customer experience, and ensuring smooth coordination between sales, warehouse operations, and other leadership roles. This role helps drive revenue growth by improving workflow, reporting, and execution within the HVAC wholesale environment.

Responsibilities:
Sales Process & Workflow Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized sales processes and operating procedures.
- Ensure consistent workflow between inside sales, outside sales, counter sales, and collaboration of sales team
- Streamline quoting, order entry, pricing, and follow-up processes to maximize efficiency.
- Support the sales team with tools, training, and process guidance.
Data, Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Manage sales reporting, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance summaries to leadership.
- Track inventory availability, forecast needs, and communicate with warehouse operations to ensure stock accuracy.
- Analyze pricing, margins, and customer purchasing trends to improve profitability.
- Collaborate with finance team members for processes improvement impacting AP / AR billing
Systems & Technology
- Supervise CRM usage and data accuracy; train staff as needed.
- Improve adoption of ERP/CRM systems used for quoting, customer management, and order entry.
- Recommend and implement technology improvements aligned with sales needs.
Sales Team Support
- Assist with quoting, pricing, special orders, vendor programs, and customer accounts.
- Serve as liaison between sales, warehouse, purchasing, and accounting departments.
- Help resolve escalated customer issues involving orders, delivery, or invoicing.
- Work closely with Leadership to support sales strategy and territory planning.
- Supervise HVAC inside sales team and provide necessary performance support/coaching/training.
Operational Alignment
- Coordinate with warehouse operations/Inventory Manager to ensure efficient order fulfillment and logistics.
- Improve communication between sales and warehouse to enhance customer experience.
- Monitor delivery schedule performance and customer service metrics.
Vendor & Product Support
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, rebates, promotions, and product launches.
- Provide product information or coordinate training sessions for sales staff.
- Ensure the team stays updated on HVAC product lines and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, inside sales, or sales support—HVAC or wholesale distribution preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, parts, and distribution channel operations.
- Proficient in CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Infor, Epicor, Eclipse, Prophet 21, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
