Controls Integration Support Engineer/Specialist
General Job Description:
To provide subject matter/product expertise and high-level technical support and engineering solutions to our customers regarding building controls, automation and integration systems.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide on and off-site technical assist and support in the design, application, integration, configuration, security, maintenance needs and commissioning of automation and controls for equipment related to HVAC systems
- Review existing control logic and implement and/or provide programming change solutions for customers
- Respond to customer support and product inquiries via phone, email or in-person in a timely fashion
- Identify, coordinate and provide appropriate training pre and post -sale with the end user / customer.
- Provide customer product training and development
- Review and provide assistance in development of control schematics
- Development of building automation system graphic for building HVAC systems
Additional Job Duties:
- Support entire sales process including quotes and sales orders
- Be involved in company process improvement
- Analyzes and supports changes to company software & hardware for system function specifications to optimizing internal operating needs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge Needed:
- AutoCAD/Revit or Visio knowledge
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and possess a strong aptitude with analytical and technical skills to independently problem solve and provide solutions.
- Highly motivated and have a good sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work assignments and customer support needs
- Detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task and use discretion and independent judgement in the performance of daily routines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Excellent computer literacy
- Technical knowledge and experience of mechanical and control system components utilizing high and low voltage ac or dc power, analog and digital controls, relay logic and networking via Ethernet, LON, BMS/BAS, BACnet and Modbus
- Computer proficiencies: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and basic knowledge of IT infrastructure with willingness to learn other software programs
- Advanced education in the field of Electronics or Engineering
