General Job Description:

To achieve and manage sales goals and related objectives with assigned customers/territory. Develop and maintain customer relationships to identify and meet customer needs and achieve company desired sales outcomes for HVAC controls products and services.

Primary Job Duties:

Responsibilities listed below are not an all-inclusive list and additional tasks related to sales and sales management may be required or modified at any time.

  • Participate with the development and manage a sales business plan for assigned customers and territory to demonstrate growth, training, marketing and sales objectives
  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers, lead follow up, cold calls, in person visits
  • Schedule and perform product demonstrations and training with customers
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences to identify sales leads and networking with customers/vendors
  • Follow industry trends to identify new marketing opportunities for sales growth
  • Collaborate with marketing department for sales growth strategies
  • Generate, analyze and manage necessary sales reports as needed
  • Ongoing continuing professional development
  • Update customer databases as needed
  • Assist with resolving customer service issues/product troubleshooting as needed
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge and be a “product champion”.
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge Needed:
  • HVAC/building controls sales experience (preferred)
  • Effective computer skills to be able to work with and manage necessary job-related software and electronic communication: (i.e. Microsoft office365, inventory software, group/team project communication)
