Inside Sales Position
General Job Description:
To support the sales process and customer service needs.
Primary Job Duties:
- Execute entire inside sales process (including quotes and returns) including in-person/counter sales and phone orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Fulfill the orders for Will Call pick up and follow up with the necessary customer communication.
- Follow up with regarding customer satisfaction inquiries.
- Participate in lead follow up and customer acquisition.
- Assist with updating/maintaining accurate customer databases.
- Participate in updating seasonal inventory displays.
- Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
- Accommodate necessary changes in work schedule to support business needs (i.e. adjust work hours for the day or be able to work occasion overtime)
- Participate in rotation amongst qualified individuals within the company for evening and weekend response coverage to customer emergency/after- hours support.
- Make recommendations for product line (additions/deletions/min-max changes)
- Know and understand manufacturer catalogs and literature.
Process credit cards following established PCI compliant procedures.
Keep up to date on market trends, new products, and the application of those products.
Contributes to evaluation and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in self learning and company directed training on and off site.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Duties:
- Support Shipping/Receiving processes as needed.
- Participates in inventory management support (i.e. inventory count) processes as directed
- Attend sales, product, and other vendor/manufacturer meetings as needed
- Vendor relationship building (i.e. meet with vendor reps for products associated with City Desk)
- Other duties as assigned

- Effective computer skills to be able to work with and manage necessary job-related software and electronic communication: (i.e. Microsoft office365, inventory software, group/team project communication)
- Able to safely lift 50lb, and safely push, pull a variety of sized items/boxes at City Desk and during shipping/receiving duties
- HVACR experience or a degree/certification in HVACR or related field is preferred
